EMT Training should help right ?

Has anyone done or considered EMT training in conjunction with Nursing ?

This should also be a good resume builder in addition to gaining experience in dealing with emergency situations. would think this would be helpful in the long run.

Please correct me if I am wrong and share any comments or suggestions.

Thanks !

being an emt first will help a lot! you will become familiar not only to the language but you will acquire and hone many skills that you will use as an rn. in nursing school while everyone is learning those skills you already know you can concentrate on other things.. just being in the medical environment will give you an advantage over many students. you will know what to expect, how to act, and will be more confident overall. thats important in nursing school.
