EKG in the Jail

I'm looking to buy our first ever EKG for the jail. I don't know if it's against the rules here or not to recommend products, but I'm curious to see what features you have or would like to have in your jail or prison's EKG.

Initially, I only wanted a three lead, but I see the advantage to having a 12 lead unit particularly one with interpretive software. I've investigated units ranging from about $1400 to 5500. Are there any ruggedized units out there that I'm missing with my manufacturer and internet searches?

Ideas of all sizes are welcome.

    I work in a prison setting, but I'm sure we were looking for a lot of the same things. I was on a committee that selected EKG equipment and services for the entire Department of Corrections. We wanted 12-lead equipment that would interpret as well as print EKGs on 8.5x11 graph paper. We also wanted the ability to transmit for interpretation if necessary. We decided to lease the equipment from the service provider rather than buy it, because of less up-front outlay plus the ability to easily replace the equipment as it became obsolete without a large expenditure. It would be a nightmare for you to buy equipment then have it go down with no parts available to repair it just as you ran out of equipment money.
