Duke question?......

I just passed the cna test last weekend and am looking for a job. I have looked on duke's website and durham regionals website. I have applied to them. But am wondering does anyone know how hard it is to actually get a job with them. I don't have any experience so not sure if that will hurt me or not. Thanks for any advice. tammy

No, they hire new grads. But one question, why Duke? There are other great hospitals in the area. Check them all out before you make up your mind.

because they have several different hospitals but when you apply you have to go through the main duke website.

Hi Adorblepuppy,

I just came across your post and was interested to know if you got a job at Duke.

I did not get a job at duke. I am working at a nursing home near my home and i am enjoying it. I want to get some experience before i go to a big hospital. The reason i want to work for duke or durham regional is cause they are close to my house and they have great benefits.

Congratulations on getting the job at the nursing home. I was interested in working at Duke or Durham Regional as well but the thought of working for the LTC or Hospice facilities in town sound so much more appealing right now.

I'm continuing my education and the less travel the better until I graduate as a RN.

Thanks for the reply and good luck with your future.
