Duke CRNA

Any Duke CRNAs out there? I was looking at their site today it they have 72 CRNAs on staff?! That seems like a lot? How many ORs do they have?

Featured Replies

That does not sound like a lot, considering Duke is a large teaching facility with a large number of beds/ORs.

Last time I looked at gaswork.com (a couple of weeks ago), they were looking for 14 new CRNAs to hire.

Duke had 30 OR's in the main hospital. This does not include the eye center, out-patient surgery center, etc.

At the major trauma center in Charlotte we have around 110 CRNA's, the actual number always fluctuates. That covers 28 main OR's, 4 OB, 10 outpt, plus a lot of out of dept stuff like MRI, rad. onc, and CT (mainly peds stuff for out of dept).
