I applied to the Fall 2018 program :)Some of my history/stats are as follows:
--Undegrad/Bachelor's Degree in Research in Psychology w/ minor in Neuroscience; 3.9 cGPA
--Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program; 3.5 cGPA
--Research in neuroscience, clinical psych, emergency medicine, & HIT
--Currently working as a medical staff coordinator/assistant PM for a private practice
I am Really excited about this program and it's nice to see someone else posting about Fall 2018!! :) Are you from NC?
Awesome stats!!!
My undergrad is in Biology and I am currently obtaining my MPH degree in Epidemiology! Long term plan is to be a nurse scientist or at least conduct some type of research to advance the field of nursing while working with patients as a front-line nurse.
Currently, I live in NC. I am excited to find out but I wish they provided a response earlier! It will take a long time, but it is worth the wait for this program! :) Did you apply to any other schools?
I wonder if anyone else is applying. I have heard from my research that this program is very competitive and a lot of people are applying.

That's so cool!! Epidemiology is such a fascinating field! :) I love research too! How are you liking that MPH program?
I know what you mean about the wait time. I wish we'd know sooner , haha. I agree it is totally worth the wait, though.
I did apply to other schools; most are located closer to my home state/in New England. Have you applied to other schools as well? :)
I, too, have heard that this is a competitive program.

Yeah I applied to a bunch! I have one acceptance so far and one wait list! However, I am looking for some funding to pay for the tuition because I will not be able to afford to pay for any of the schools. However, I really want to be nurse, so I am thinking if my local community college accepts me I may get an ADN degree first. Then, pursue an RN to BSN degree after I start working as an RN. Otherwise, I do not know if I can afford these expensive schools. It truly sucks, but it is what it is.

Congratulations on getting into a program!! :) That's exciting news!
I 100% relate. It's a really tough position financially. I already have boat-loads of debt, lol. But, I am sure it will all get sorted out, one way or another! I will be rooting for you! :) I think a lot of students are taking the community college path from what I am seeing.
