I Haven't started my CNA class but I am enrolled just waiting until it starts in mid Feb. Anyway what both my college and the accelerated school I choose to go to for mine both require the same things. You have to have a GED or high school diploma, a Washington State patrol back round check, 2 skin tuberculosis tests, a few pairs of navy blue medical scubs, the nursing text book they use in the class and the work book as well.
I am in California. So prior to entry into the program, i would have to already have under my belt: 50 hrs classroom theory (which I'm assuming is a particular class?) as well as 100 hours of clinical. How would I complete this? By volunteering or by other means? Thanks for the information guys. I LOVE THIS SITE!!

No, that's the CNA class itself.
There were no prerequisites where I took my CNA program, other than a TB test and passing the DOJ background check to be able to do the clinicals.

Seeing as I'm going to be waiting a while until I get accepted into a RN program, I was looking into CNA for the time being. As busy as I am i haven't had much time to inquire about it with my school. Does anyone know generally, what pre-reqs most CNA program require.
Thanks in advance.
