Do ypou feel their is enough to keep clients occupied on wards.

Published

I have noticed as a an advocate on a local mental health ward many clients seem to be very bored there is a mixture of ages. I can understand the praticalities of safety for clients and lack of money. Here is a question that was raised when a client asked if day trips could be arranged to give clients something to look forward to. Do you feel nurses be able to escort the patients that have had a considerable length of stay within the wards out on day trip I am sure that family members would want to join in. If you were requested to escort client/s would you accept the job or would you rather stay within the ward or would you prefer HCAs to do this

I look forward to your thoughts.
