Ok boys and girls, he's my beef. my teacher encourages us to explore other areas to find info we need for a project or to complete a care plan etc.....or even to gain knowlege to study for an exam. But come exam time, she argues with us when we try to defend our answer choice by saying that it's not in her book.....after expressing our desire to find info on our own.
For example, there wes a question on the last exam regarding insulin peak times. well, some of used our drug book, some the text book, some the web...most of us got it wrong because non of those sites agreed on what the answer should be.
I don't really know my point writing this mail, other than...are there any other students out there in this mess????
And yes, I know, in real life, we wont be hung up and tied to just a number, like if the upper limit of glucose check is 120, then in actuallity, 121 is not that big a deal, as long as it does not continue on a trend upward. But, just that single number, becaused it was obtained from another source, could cost us a critical point in the end.......
