Digital disimpaction

Hello All! I have been a nurse for 2 years now and am working as a VNA nurse. I am covering another nurse's patients for the next 2 weeks and have a patient that has orders for a soap enema and digital disimpaction twice weekly. I did a joint visit with the nurse yesterday and attempted the disimpaction but was not as successful as the other nurse. I was never taught how to do a disimpaction in school. I've tried quickly googling how to do it and cannot find a how-to guide. Can someone tell me if how to do this? The other nurse was able to insert their finger and pull at an angle to get a large quantity of the enema back but when I tried it, I was only getting a trickle out.
