Digging for a Nursing Dx...

Can someone please help steer me in the right direction? I have been searching through my 750 pg. Nursing dx textbook trying to find something related to hypertension (extreme, or crisis HTN)...any suggestions?

Thanks so much in advance...

Here are a few (off the top of my head):

Risk for Cerebral Tissue Injury r/t ischemia or hemorrhage secondary to markedly elevated blood pressure

Risk for Ineffective Cerebral Tissue Perfusion r/t interruption of blood flow secondary to markedly elevated blood pressure

Risk for Decreased Cardiac Output r/t increased afterload secondary to markedly elevated blood pressure

Psychosocial: Deficient Knowledge, Ineffective Therapeutic Regimen Management, Noncompliance

Wish I could come up with those off the top of my head, lol. Someday maybe! :) I DID see decreased CO (edit...in my book when first looking), and one of the clinical concerns was high BP...but I was trying to figure out how the high BP related to decreased CO....and you explained that..."(Risk for Decreased Cardiac Output r/t increased afterload secondary to markedly elevated blood pressure)." I will have to review the physiology of BP again, and preload/afterload.

Thanks so much, have a great weekend!
