I'm new here, so apologies if this is posted often or frowned upon. I'm currently a senior in undergrad (U of WA) majoring with a BS in psychology. I have steered away from the social work/psychology path and more toward the psychiatry path (have a strong interest in both mental health and pharmacology). As such, I have been considering psychiatric nursing. Right now, I have an undergrad and most pre-reqs required for a direct-entry MSN program. I was wondering if any of these have psych specialities, and if so, which ones?
I would love to hear other people's experience with DE programs. Additionally, for those who were accepted, what could I do to boost my resume? Currently, I don't have a lot besides a solid GPA (3.8 cum) and a bit of experience working in a psych research lab (focus of substance abuse).
Thanks!
