Hi all,
I took the Teas this summer. Got a 72 overall. Break down is as follows
71.4% in reading
66.7% in science
76.7% English
76.7% in math
Overall I met (and mostly surpassed) the minimum requirements
My program rank was high on everything but reading (usually my strongest subject, I felt that section was much harder than it needed to be)
Do you think is is enough to get me a spot immediately? Or even high on the waiting list?
I turned in my petition to Chester County. Please give me some insight.

From what I'm hearing ,they have changed the way they rank the teas this year (reading being the most important section) which would make past years teas averages irrelevant since it was based on adjusted overall score. But if you can, take it again after studying the official teas guide for about a week. I believe you have until the 25th? If not I think you definitely have a competitive score. Good luck.

Unfortunately because of my other classes I won't have another chance to take it. I know they are ranking by reading first, then if you tie they go to science, and so forth. which was significantly higher than the program average. I wish I could pull up the reading score, but I'll take what I have. I'm hoping for the best. The science section was much different than it was portrayed to me in prep classes.
Oh well!
Thank you for the encouragement.

Hey! It might be a little late in the game right now, but if you can take the TEAS again, I would highly reccomend it. My score jumped from a 74 to an 84. It was worth it, because I got accepted and I'm currently in the program. If not, though, your score is pretty solid. I heard that they took 72s into 2013. If nothing else, they might waitlist you. Apparently they usually have a few people drop out before the program starts. But it's hard to say. They don't tell you ANYTHING. Even once you are accepted, their information is limited. If you get in, I highly recommend calling or emailing them to answer any questions you might have. Actually, even while you are waiting for a response to your petition. I remember having a sudden panic attack because I was worried they didn't receive my information or something. Nancy Wheeler was sooooooo great about replying to my crazy email.
