I am very curious about the average nurse:pt ratios of travel nursing, also how different facilities give report on their patients.
Some places I have been,,,the care managers let you figure out things by being inquisitive instead of them being helpful and making certain the nurses have every tool available to take care of the patients.
The ratio sucks where I work, and that is one of the reasons I am interested in travel nursing.
Any details would be good.

As a travel nurse, you always ask what the nurse:patient ratios are and then put that number into your contract! Write down all the things that were discussed in the interview and then add a paragrah, "Working Conditions to include those discussed by Mary, RN, Manager, to include floating to areas of compentency only which include: rehab, med/surg, and tele. This also includes the nursing patient ratio of no more than 6 patients on the telemetry floor." etc....

Excellent idea. Does it actually fly?
I have it in all of my contracts, so I guess that it flys. If a travel company won't let you put a paragraph in protecting yourself, then find one who will!
