Cuesta Nursing Program 2013 Points to Get In

Hey all,

I've recently applied to the nursing program at Cuesta for the 2013 school year and unfortunately I've been completely unable to find any message boards where people who were admitted could give us eagerly waiting individuals a bit of piece of mind. Hopefully starting this one will help out more than just myself...we'll see :)

I know that Cuesta doesn't have any sort of waitlist or lottery for this term, and pending any accreditation issues they'll be admitting approximately 44 students for 2013. I've already gotten the email saying how many points I've been given, but they don't have anything online regarding how many points it's taken in previous years to be admitted.

Basically I'm just stressing out because now there's a 3 month wait before I can start planning the rest of my life and I was hoping there were at least a few current students or at least previous applicants floating around the ether that could tell me how many points they got.

I do understand that I'm asking for personal information here, so I get it if people don't want to divulge that sort of data. I just think the complete lack of data anywhere is kinda odd...I know I'm not the only person who has thought this might be useful information.

Hi, I'm also applying for Cuesta's Fall 2013 program (83 points on my app). At the info meeting a couple of semesters ago they said that for the Fall 2012 class they received around 250 applications and the average accepted point range was something like 70-75 (if I'm remembering correctly!). They seemed to be expecting more applications this year so maybe we'll need more points to get in, though I've been wondering if maybe the accredidation issue will actually discourage people from applying. I guess we'll find out soon!

Hi, I had a question about exactly when you applied to the nursing program at cuesta?

I am at cuesta right now working on my prereqs and will be done in spring. Did you have to wait until october to apply for the following year? My counselor said I could apply with my prerequisites still in progress, but the RN program website says your prerequisites must be completely done at the time you apply? Any information would be so helpful. Thank you!
