CSUN ABSN Fall 2023

Hello and good luck to everyone! I just submitted my application right now! I applied last round and did not get in. I am hopeful with my CNA certificate and experience since then I have a better chance. I have 4.0 in sciences and overall BS GPA was a 3.4/3.5 I believe. This is my only ABSN I am applying to but will also apply to 2 local ADN programs.

Hello! Good luck to everyone applying this cycle. First time applicant here and it is the only program I am applying to. I have a CNA certificate, expired EMT cert and close to 300 clinical volunteer hours. 3.8 GPA for pre reqs and cumulative GPA is 3.9.  Let's keep each other updated on this long and torturous application process! 

Does anyone know what months they will start contacting us? Like when the interviews will be sent out possibly?

Probably around end of April or sometime in May

Following! First time applicant here as well. I heard we should expect responses by mid March? Anyone know when we should expect a response and sharing stats.. volunteer hours or paid clinical hours?

Hi all! I'm also a first time applicant. I have a CNA cert, 1+ yr CNA experience at a hospital, prereq GPA 4.0, overall GPA ~3.5, 100 clinical volunteer hrs. Applied to 3 other ABSN programs this cycle (already rejected by one LOL).

Hello everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything back or has had any updates regarding their application. I'm pretty sure no one has but I'm just anxious that I might just be missing out on something LOL

I also got anxious about not hearing back cause I never got any email confirming if my application is complete. So I emailed them about week ago and asked for my app status. They said my app is complete and they didn't send updates because they had all they needed from me. I think just check that you don't have any incomplete tasks on your portal. You can also call the office if you wanna make sure.

Thank you! I also wish we got like a general timeline of events.. when to expect to hear back, when to expect interviews if there is one, when to hear if we got admitted, etc.

Last year it took 2 and half months after applications closed to hear back! So based on that timeline I think mid May should be around time to hear back about video interviews and hopefully final decisions! 

Just got an email to do a video interview invite! Fingers crossed, I hope that means we have a high chance of getting in!
