csn rn program math test

Published

I was wondering if someone from the csn rn spring 2011 program could tell us about the math test? Is it phrased like the 100b math class, how many questions, and what kind of time do we have to take it? I am taking the toolbox math course and the questions are worded a little different then the 100b so makes it a little harder. thanks for your reply:nurse:

Specializes in oncology, med/surg, ortho.

Whatever they are teaching you in the toolbox class is how its worded. Everyone uses different ways of figuring out the answer (for example dimensional analysis) Whichever way you figure out that works best for you, make sure you stick with it for the rest of the program. If you change it may confuse you more. First semester isn't too bad. Its just basically how many tabs will you give. It gets a little tricky with Pediatrics. Make sure you go back to the toolbox class in between semesters to refresh yourself. If I remember correctly the Med/Surg math test was more similar to Math 100B because it deals with IV flow rates.

What is the Math toolbox...how do we enroll in that?
