CRNA School STRAP Program APMC Battle Assembly

Hello all,

I am currently in the STRAP/HPLP program and am starting CRNA school in August. I am attached to the Amedd Professional Management Command (APMC). So, my recruiter told me that I would not have to do battle assemblies while in school, that it was optional. However, I just spoke with my STRAP manager at APMC, and she said I must do two battle assemblies (adminstrative stuff) per month in order to qualify for my loan repayment. I have heard of people using class time as their BA, and getting their instructor to sign their 1380. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks!

I just went through the same thing you are going through. I am a 2005 grad from CRNA school. I did naad, apmc, SGLI. I write down my journal club, Study time, state meeting, care plan topics etc... onto a 1380. I told my teachers to sign and they will need to sign once a month (just to give them a heads up, and say it is just a thing for my army committment). You will get $$ and points(that is what matters). Make sure there is 16 hours total on each 1380 per mo for a good month(you want a good year in points(50)). Good luck I have been in 22 years, been a crna 7 excellent job.

Jtlihs1,

Thanks for responding. APMC told me I would have to do 4 hours/week at my recruting station doing admin. work to earn my time. I was thinking I could do other things, so that's good to hear.

Thanks again!
