Hi! I am new to washington. I am an lpn. I have been having problems finding a CPR class and have seen the ones offered on line. Does any one know if these on line classess are acceptable?

I think you need to be in a class room class because you have to demo on a dummmy.
You can enter your zip code to find a Red Cross chapter near by:
http://www.redcross.org/where/where.html
Here's one I got for Seattle:

You can also contact the American Heart Association:

Be sure to find out if you need the CPR for Health professionals. That's the one they recommended I take for RN school.

BLS Healthcare Provider Course
This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of an automated external defibrillator and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It is intended for participants who provide heath care to patients in a wide variety of settings.

also if anyone in the NW corner of WA needs cpr PM me, I coordinate the education classes for the local building industry association, I'll set up a class for whatever schedule you like. I can also teach private starting in a week or 2.
