Let me start from the begining...I was enrolled in a 2 year nursing program and had a baby after the 3rd semester. There were complications and I had to forgo the 4th and final sememster. Instead of returning to school a year later, I started the Excelsior (then Regents) Program. Now four years later... I have to take my CPNE test...for the second time. I am VERY scared as $1400.00 is a LARGE sum of money that I really can not afford to lose again!!
What I am looking for are tips, either about the test or study material you found helpful. Prior to school I had NO nursing skills at all. So I do not have much to fall back on. I have completed all concept tests and was able to pass each on the first try (some may have been just barely) so I feel the knowledge is there. I do work as a "Nurse Extern" in the local hospital. I am a "second level tech." If you have any pointers on things I can do at work, I will glady try them. I do assessments during my day and try to check the fluids, IV site, etc... but I am still scared. I think the biggest issue is being nervous!! HELP!!
