Hi nurses,

How r u?

I am studying nursing first year. I have a presenation about the legal issues in relation to patient's consenrs. And i am thinking in having a little play in front of my doctoers and the other students.

So, do u have any suggestions for the idea or the topic of the play??

Thanks,

With my best wish.

Maybe a skit about patient confidentiality? Some friends of the patient can try to ask questions about the patient's condition without the patient's permission. Or someone can call on the phone and ask for information. You can explain the correct way to deal with those situations, as they are very common and HIPAA violations are very serious.

By the way, since you are in nursing school now, I would encourage you to start using correct spelling and grammer, such as spelling out the words "are" and "you" and capitalizing your 'I's. Poor writing skills will not get you far in nursing.

Thank you for the great idea and really I appreciate the advice.

Would you like to correct the mistakes in the passage above?

I hope I didn't sound condescending. I just know that using abbreviations in typing (u, r, y, etc.) have become so common that there are people who actually think that's how the words are spelled. I've proof-read freshman nursing papers that included those letters. *Gasp!* I just wanted you to start off on the right foot. Good luck!
