confused...

I graduated BSN 1994 in Asia but never been working in the hospital because I did not take their board exam for license. Now, I wanted to work in the hospital but mostly they refer me to go back to school. They call it refresher course. If I take these refresher course, do you think I can work in the hospitals that provides new grad training programs? Is this another way to prepare myself for state board exam which I will take it soon? What is the best thing to do, to study first for the NCLEX or take the refresher course and take the NCLEX after...?I am confused. Please share your thoughts to me......

To the person that graduated in Asia in 1994, so much has changed over the past few years, it would be better to try NCLEX board review to see if that will help.

Hi daie2x. I'm not sure if I read you correctly. If you've not had any experience working in patient care, then I would suggest getting actual hands on experience before taking boards. Once you take boards and pass them, you may not get an opportunity to get the type of orientation and training that you think you need or deserve. Best wishes.
