I have a question and I cant seem to find the answer anywhere. I have a license in virigina and want to switch it over to texas. I already filed my declaration of another state with virginia and now I have to do something for texas. Only I dont know what? I tried to call and they said sorry the lines are busy call back later, and they hung up on me. I kept calling back but the same thing happend. Has any one on here gone through the same thing? I hope they dont expect me to pay $200 to switch my license over because that is just assinine.:angryfire Anyone know anything?

Where do you live? If you live in VA and plan to work temporarily in TX, you don't need to do a thing.
If you plan to move to TX, then you must apply for licensure by endorsement in TX. Upon completing their endorsement requirements, you will receive a TX license with compact privileges.

I also have a compact VA license and recently moved to Tenn, another compact state. What I did was check with the Tenn BON, and found out that I could work in another compact state after declaring that new state as my home state for 30 days. After 30 days, I must have my license in order to be able to continue doing patient care. I'm not sure if Texas will work the same way since its also compact. The only fee I had to pay way the Tenn lic by endorsement fee. I hope this helps. I'm not sure if you're working yet, if so check with HR at your new facility too, as they were very helpful to me. Good luck.
