Code Team, who is involved?

Hi Everyone

I was wondering in your institution who is involved on your code team?

in my institution, for adult codes, MICU Fellow, Anest. and the nurses on the floor,

Peds codes, ER Attending, anest. and PICU nurse.

does your hospital handle the code team in a different way?

Please let me know

Thanks

ER Laura

Small hosp without 24 hr anesthesia. ED MD (directs), ED & ICU RN (monitor & meds)

RT (airway), Med flr RN (compressions) Surg flr RN (records)

I work in a 400 bed hospital, and our code team consists of one of the ED docs, an ACLS RN from the ED, resp therapists, orderlies, and the RN who has the patient and the house supervisor on duty. too many people at the bedside creates a cluster and it isnt workable. Anesthesia NEVER responds to an in house code at our hospital.
