I am getting ready to go through training to get my CNA pretty soon. I was wondering what is required to move to the title of a RN?

You can become a CNA after one semester of nursing school if you sit for the test and pass. However, if you are a CNA already, you still have to take that same semester, and there is no shortcut to becoming an RN.
Don't get me wrong, it's a good idea to be a CNA first just to get your feet wet in the healthcare field and get a little experience.

Thank You so much you have relaxed my mind today for your help. I really love the healthcare field and just wanting to do something more fun and better while I am getting my degree in healthcare Admin.:redbeathe

I too eventually want to become an RN. I have two years of academic pre reqs behind me and will be starting CNA training in January. After I finish that there's at least two more years of school until I become an RN.
One option is to become a LPN which takes a year and then working for six months to a year and doing a LPN to RN bridge program.
Another option is a community college RN program which would take two years.
Then there are four year universities to get a BSN which around here is a three year program but after the first semester it's possible to get a job as a nurse tech.
If you don't yet have any academics completed that would be the first step, prehaps working as a CNA while taking classes for prerequisites would be a good idea, that's what I wish I had done instead of just doing prereqs to apply to a BSN program.
