CNA re-competency testing

Published

Hey all!!!

I took a CNA class and later went on to take a MA class as well, but haven't used either one in about 5 years! Anywho, I'm starting nursing school in August and if I have to either retake the CNA class or take a CNA re-competency test. I worked in a LTC facility for a year or so, so I feel like I'm pretty good with the skills but I'm a little nervous about being tested on it! Does anyone have any ideas on how I could brush up on information and skills? I have to take the written and the clinical test. Thanks! ;)

nursing assistant - video lessons or you can go to youtube and type in cna skills and they have some vidoes. the written exam is mostly common sense. but be careful with the skills. i've seen a few students who worked in healthcare before fail the skills exam. they failed to realize that its not about how its supossed to be done, but how they want you to do it. you have to follow the steps in the correct order for you state. good luck.

Thank you! I didnt even think of YouTube! :D
