hi jeff,

i live in the east bay also and just started looking into CNA programs. I found one that sounds promising -- ncp college of nursing (www.ncpvocational.com) -- and they have a location in hayward.

As for your first question, your state board of health's website should have a list of all approved CNA training sites.

It took me awhile to find it on the dept of health website, but here's the link to the CNA training centers in California. http://www.cdph.ca.gov/services/training/Documents/CNATrainingPrograms.pdf . Thanks yousoldtheworld.
