Choosing NP programs

Published

Hey guys --

I need some advice on choosing between 2 NP programs currently. I have been getting mixed reviews from family, friends, and mentors on which route to choose. I recently got into a DNP FNP program . I also got into a post-masters cert program with Herzing Univ. I could save like 60K going to the post-masters cert program because I already have a MSN (I do bedside and NE for ACS). Patient safety is what matters to me, not some title or degree. I just want to finish school, and pass the FNP board. thanks!

I'm in the same situation. I have a MSN in Leadership and management. I ultimately decided on post masters NP so I could break up my schooling and start working. Then I will go back for DNP. Also, I don't want any more student loans so I will pay as I go and use tuition reimbursement.
