CHARLESTON NURSES

I am currently an LPN living in GA, I will finish my RN this December and I am planning on moving to Charleston, SC.

I need advice on the hospitals! I do not know any nurses that live there to ask.

I am curious about the pay of course but I also would like to know opinions on which hospital is the best to work for.

Also, do you have to work every other weekend or are there certain hospitals that you can kind of make your own schedule?

Thanks for any info you have!!

No I am still looking for info on the charleston hospitals.

I moving to Charleston in Feb., and concerned about employment opportunities in this area. When I initially graduated as an RN it was REALLY hard finding a job, and with Private Duty Nursing as my main experience I'm concerned it will be hard to find employment in other areas. :nailbiting: My care payment/bills have to be paid so months of job hunting aren't an option for me.

I have already started putting in applications even though I won't have my RN license till January. I will let you know how my search goes.

I will say MOST of the local hospitals are only hiring nurses with the BSN. There are nursing opportunities in the area I would encourage you to check craigslist, monster and CareerBuilder.
