Hi all,
I am new to this forum. I have been a FNP for 12 years, and I recently have become interested in palliative care. I have some questions about developing this interest.
1. What is the best way to get the education I need? I have looked at some online courses, and purchased the core curriculum book for palliative care. I was thinking of going to the 2 day ELNEC train the trainer conference. Not sure how appropriate that would be...
2. What is the best way to get the 500 hours clinical practice I would need to write the certification exam?
3. Are Hospice and other agencies hiring NPs for this work?
I would be interested to hear from anyone who is working in this area as an APN. What is your work like?
Thanks in advance.
