Changing nursing schools.

Published

Once you have been accepted into a program at a school and started the program is it possible to switch to another school? If you try to switch do you have to wait for the next application period for the program or do the schools allow you to come in where you left off at your previous school?

From what I understand, they make you start over. They want to know that you're getting all the information they feel is necessary for you to know, before they give you a degree from their school. For instance, I've taken Pathophysiology and Nursing Pharmacology at one school, and got accepted into a program at another school, and I'm going to have to re-take those classes because they want to make sure that I've been "taught up to their standards." Hope this is somewhat of a help for you!
