I am working in same day surgery for a little over a year (10 hours). Although I love my coworkers, I feel as though there is a lot of free time, not learning, and I worry that I'm forgetting my skills "you don't use it, you lose it".
I have about 3 years med-surg experience, and am not quite sure if I want to return to med-surg. I was also thinking of going back to school to become an NP, however am not sure if it is the right time as family is my highest priority.
I need help in deciding which path I will take.
Again, I absolutely love my coworkers, but at the same time I am looking for something with better hours, and a specialty where I am able to eventually advance my career. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
