Chamberlain questions...

Hello. I am currently an LPN looking into Chamberlain online ASN. I have some questions if anyone can help!

Is there a waiting list, and how long did it take some of you to get started in the program? I have all the prereqs done, and should have only the nursing courses to complete.

Also, I am in MO, will I do any clinicals locally, or does everyone go to St. Louis?

And last question - has anyone had any horror stories and would definitely stear clear of Chamberlain? I am getting older, can't wait forever to get into local schools here, and I don't want to get into something and it not pan out...Thanks everyone!

A local student should do well, out of state students aren't being admitted right now due to issues with clinical placements. The worst thing about the program is tha fact that you have very little interaction with instructors, you pretty much teach this stuff to yourself. As an older student myself with a family, I found this very stressful and now that I am taking a break, I am finding out very candid things from my dear family...seems I was less than easy to live with over the last year.

Best of luck to you!

Kris

I'd steer clear.

Being an out of state student was a hassle for me. Perhaps your closer location to the campus will make for a better experience.

Also, if you don't pay all of your tuition in one payment, you have to use this tuition card thingie. It's really a credit card administered via a partnership with some company. You will have similar terms and fees just like a regular credit card.
