Chamberlain Phoenix 2016

Published

Hi all I am posting my first thread! I recently was accepted into the RN BSN program at Chamberlain college of nursing Phoenix. Is anyone else accepted into this program or waiting for acceptance? I transferred credits (51) from my CC as well as my LPN program but they only accepted my math and English which confuses :down:me because I took those classes waaaaayyyyy before my sciences and liberal arts (A Bio 201, C Bio 202&205 and all A's in liberal arts) but I didn't know those classes were not accepted until I opened my student portal. I also had to retake A&P for my LPN program and I have my Associates. Is there anyone who has completed everything including meeting with financial aid? My husband is a veteran so I am hoping that will reduce my tuition as I didn't expect to be taking additional classes other than nursing courses. I'm just a little frustrated but still glad that I was accepted but will be a lot happier when I know the total cost and the how long the program will take me to complete. Hope to hear from any fellow chamberlain students current or past.

Thanks

I applied to Chamberlain for May 2016 start date. I have a BS in Public Health from UC San Diego. Of the over 180 credits I submitted for evaluation, they only took 20 which I thought was absolutely ridiculous considering the multiple and advanced level science classes I have taken at a large research university. I have submitted syllabi for each class I felt I deserved credit for and am waiting to hear if they accept them. Last time I spoke with my enrollment counselor he has said I would know after Dec 11. Fingers crossed for a good outcome. Have you tried to appeal your credits or asked for an explanation as to why you weren't awarded credit?

Hello there! I am looking at applying to the Phoenix May 2016. Have you started your education yet? If so, I would love to hear more about your experience. Thank you!

I haven't started yet. I'm slated to start May 2. So far I cannot say I've had a positive experience. My enrollment counselor has been extremely passive leaving me to fend for myself as far as credit appeals and financial aid. When I have asked him to check on my status I won't hear from him for a week, then when I ask again he'll either ask for additional information or provide an answer right away leading me to think he either never looked into it or had the answer the entire time he just ignored or forgot about me. I'm hoping my interaction with this counselor is not an accurate representation of the entire staff at Chamberlian.

Oh wow I am so sorry to hear that. My counselor, Sherri, who is also based in PHX has been very helpful! Can we stay in touch and let me know of the school once you begin?

Yes of course! You can always DM me and I can let you know how it goes once I start. Have you begun the enrollment process?
