CGFNS process taking too long!

Hello everyone! ;)

It's been 7 months since I signed up for CGFNS and I still haven't taken the exam. I applied for everything beforehand (1. Pearson vue 2. Sent an application form to the NY Board of Nursing).

I am worried, because my Pearson Vue application will be expiring in a few months. I have read online that you should have already taken the test before the expiration date. All the while, I thought that I only have to have at least an ATT before it expires.

I don't know how long CGFNS is going to take. My status has recently been changed to "ready for review" and they said that it will take them 180 days since the day I got my document receipt until they send it to NY BON. If this is true, then I will definitely have to register again for Pearson and the $200 that I spent will surely go to waste  So my question is, will it really take them this long to send my files to BON? Or is this just the time frame they give so they would be sure it will be sent by then? If so, how long does it usually take for it to be submitted? Please help!
