Case Study

My case reads: Mr. Williams presents with frequent infections and a non-healing leg wound. Temp 100.4, HR 76, B/P 92/60, dry mucous membranes and complaint of headache. He denies shortness of breath but exhibits bilateral crackles. My professor want a possible medical diagnosis and nursing diagnosis (no risk or potential)

I am convinced that the patient has HIV infection but I need some input and assistance composing the nursing diagnosis

How about hypernatremia (dry mm), or definately a respiratory problem would be your priority (crackles bilat) or dehydration?

Hello,

I have this same case study and need some help. Did you ever get anymore feedback or the correct answer? I also need to include the following:

Pathophysiology, Treatment, Clinical Manifestations, Pharmacological Treatment, Nursing Assessment, Surgical Potential, Nursing Diagnosis, and Nursing Implications.

Thanks alot!

You must come up with a possible medical diagnosis before you can complete the rest of the assignment. Some people think Diabetes and others think a respiratory disease or hypertension but I guess you can use any one. I guess we gotta pick what we think is priority.
