Cambridge LPN Program

Hi all, is anyone familiar with the Central Florida nursing school called Cambridge? I made an appointment to visit this school, and I was instantly turned off. The school is literally apart of a bank building number one, I had an eerie feeling the whole time, meeting with the school director and also other members of the staff. I really did not feel assured that this school was legitimate.

I am aware that this a for profit school, but when I was sitting down with the financial aid adviser, the tuition rendered me speechless. 21,000 dollars for an LVN program, and LPNs only make 41,000 dollars at most in the state of Florida, that did not sit right with me. I guess the appeal is that they have multiple starting dates for their program throughout the year, but it certainly made me conclude that these people might be nothing more than "money grabbers" if you will. I was given a tour of the lab rooms and everything was disorganized and out of place, not a great way to make a first impression on a possible student who could be paying thousands of dollars out of pocket for your school.

I made another appointment to sit and shadow one of their classes, to observe the basic dynamic of how how their classes work and the competency of the instructors, but I still am not sure.

Has anyone visited or attended Cambridge? If so, what are your thoughts? Are there better and more affordable programs that you can recommend?

I have Orlando Tech as a next option.

Thanks for all comments in advance.
