Brenau BSN?

Published

I got part way through college when I had to take time off. The way my credit hours work out It would take me the same amount of time in school to come out with an ADN or BSN. I am married and have 2 young kids. My options are Brenau (close, BSN, $$$), Or Lanier In cumming, Gsu, or UNG dahlonega).

Brenau is my first choice because it’s 5 miles away. Any advice or perspective on this program, the others, or my situation would be helpful. I would spend 20-21 taking A&P, micro bio, and human growth and development, and the HESI test or TEAS depending on the school. Then apply for nursing school.

I apologize for any errors, this website does not function well for me on any platform I have tried. ?

Hey there! I am currently in my 3rd semester of nursing at Brenau (the Gainesville campus). If you decide to go there, be prepared to spend alot of money on tuition. Since it is a private school each semester costs me about $17,000 (before all of my aid sets in). Brenau is not the best program out there, according to my research the nursing school has been on academic probation since 2011. With my experience there some of the professors are amazing and make thing simple and easy to understand, but there are 2 in particular you must deal with and they are not the most helpful individuals and make things more complicated than they need to be. UNG has an amazing program and I have heard nothing but great things about the school. So although Brenau may be close to you, it may be more beneficial to make the commute to another nursing school so that you can get the best education that you can get/pay for!
