BLS and ACLS?

The title says it all...

First off, I miss this website. I have been out for months as I migrated to the US and things started going crazy from there. I settled down now. Though I still don't have papers to work (It should come in a month or two), I am planning on sending out resumes to some potential employers. However, my BLS is expired, and I haven't had ACLS class yet. Are these necessary in order to get a job as I have not had job experience yet? If so, where can I get these classes?

Thank you everyone!

The American Heart Association offers both classes--check out their website to find class providers near you.

BLS is mandatory for almost any nursing job application.

ACLS is nice to have but not mandatory for most nursing jobs, with the exceptions being ER, cardiac units and critical care units--they usually require it. You can get ACLS without having any work experience...so if you can afford to get it before you get the job, go for it.
