I do not know for a fact if it is any more or less competitive than the two year traditional BSN. I imagine since the requirements are higher (you need a bachelors) that they receive far less applicants than the traditional BSN; however, obviously there is always a chance that those applying to the FastBacc program could have higher GPAs and HESI scores. Based on prior posts on this forum, it seems like the average overall and science GPA for acceptance is ~3.5. I believe the 2013 FastBacc program accepted 36 students, but I think I remember Tina saying they were accepting quite a few more this year.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I'm sure someone else has more information on this topic than I do.
I talked with her a few months back. She did kind of "allude" to the fact that Baylor is less competitive simply because of the high cost of tuition. This doesn't mean I think I will get in with a crappy GPA. Right now, my prerequisite GPA is around 3.4 ish but I still have some classes to take to raise that. Good luck with getting in. Keep me posted on how it goes. I'm very curious to hear from an actual applicant.

Hey everyone! I couldn't find any other threads for the May 2014 class, so I figured I'd go ahead and make one. The application deadline is just about here, so I'm sure Tina is very busy getting everything together. Now the waiting begins!
Feel free to post anything here related to the 2014 LHSON FastBacc program. Hopefully we have some turnout in this thread and answer many questions amongst ourselves!
Good luck to everyone!
