Bayada Nurses???

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I am a desperate new LPN grad who cannot seem to find ANYONE who is willing to take me on as a new graduate. The options are limitted, as I live in a very small state w/ limitted facilities. Also due to the fact that I am beginning my associates in August, I am further limitted to weekends only, which limits me even more! Have I stressed on, "limitted"? (LOL)!!! After responding to a Bayada add for an LPN position this afternoon, I was asked to come in for an interview....Does anyone know anything about Bayada? Any info aside of what I read on-line at their website would be appreciated! Thanks!!!:banghead:

I have heard they are very professional, but have no personal experience with them. I am actually surprised you have an interview as you said you were a new grad. There is not one agency in my area that will hire a nurse with less than 1 year experience. As a matter of fact, I am currently an LPN, and am working for a pediatric homecare agency. Next year when I become an RN, I have to get one year experience outside of my agency before they will even allow me to work in the capacity of an RN.

WOW!!! Where the heck do you live??? I have never heard of such a thing! How do they expect for a new nurse to gain initial experience??? My interview went very well and they seemed extremely interested in me as an employee. I have a second interview w/ the director on the 1st of July. I think this will work out better than any other job that I have applied to because, I can pick and choose my workload, cases, hrs etc. With school starting up again in just two months, I need that flexibility. Plus, it's GREAT experience! It can only improve my resume as a new RN grad for next spring. Here in VT, the hospitals snatch up new RN's from the two yr program who have absolutely NO experience before they even graduate!....That really surprises me that even as an RN you'll still have to gain further experience before being considered as having, "experience". How do you like pedi home health? Bayada cares for people of every age along the lifespan. The ladies whom I interviewed w/ yesterday, seem to already have a client in mind who they would like to assign to me. I am very psyched!!!:yeah:
