BAE to BSN

Published

This is my first post, I'm hoping to get info on any school offering a BSN online to those of us who have a bachelor degree in another field (and are not an LPN or RN). We do not have a four year university in my town that offers a BSN and moving 2-3 hours from my home and family does not seem possible. I currently work at our local hospital which accomodates the community college students for their clinical work. I'm told the hospital would cooperate with a distance learning situation but I cannot find one. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

My original professional goal was to be a high school math and science teacher, hence the BAE. Nursing caught my heart about 2-3 years ago. I've completed all prerequisites and have worked as a CNA for just two years know.

This is the only distance BS to BSn program that I know of. However, it is only approved in certain states. I was working on the prerequisites for this program, but PA never gave their approval for the program:( Hopefully, you are already in an approved state.

You do your clinical time in your home state, but you do have to make two trips during the one year program to Wisconsin. The coursework is online, though, so that helps. Hope this helps.
