Has anyone used ATI? Did you like it? What would you say is the best part of it? Do you think you benefit from it?

I did ATI.

With my school, we had to have scored a '90% chance' of passing before we could rec'v ATT and sit for the exam. That's a score of about 60 or 62.

Do the modules. Do the tests, crit thinking assignments and focused review.

Concentrate on what you don't know. That's the ENTIRE point. So, when you're 'greenlit'? Schedule the exam.

Buying test booklets and such only helps because they allow you to exercise your critical thinking skills. However, it's not about taking a bazillion and 1 quizzes a day. You can do 1000 questions a week and still fail. If you don't grasp what you're reading or know how to apply the knowledge?

It's pointless.

I just took my test on Tuesday. I felt confident.

- 12 SATA, I think. I kind of lost count. I started rec'ving them after question 6. But...relax. They're more simplified than ATI. I noticed that once I answered a series of questions correctly, I rec'vd a SATA question. So, I believe that there's something to the high-level/low-level question theory.

- One 'put in sequence' question.

- About 10 pharm questions.

- Mostly Med Surg and Fundamentals but every area was touched.

- Mostly 'pt teaching'.

- Lots of management and leadership style questions

- I rec'vd no math/drug cal.

Test shut off at 85. Good pop up. Knew that I'd passed the test but, for some reason, I was wigging out when I called for the Quick Results. LOL

I passed.

I'll be honest.

The ATI Predictor is a HELLUVA lot more difficult than boards. I was surprised. Granted, I wouldn't want to do it again, but the questions were pretty 'softball'.

I was expecting something different the way that some go on about it. For those who've never taken it? A lot of it's 'nerves', I'd say. I was nervous, too. Of course! I've never taken a 'computer adaptive test'. I didn't know what to expect. But you know how people get on here, "Oh, the test is sooooo hard." and "Oh, I took the test 20 times and I still can't pass."

Well...can't be THAT hard if 70-80% of GVNs pass it. LOL Seriously. If you ever begin to doubt your ability to pass? Consider the percentage of wannabes who actually pass the test.

The odds are in your favor.

That's what calmed my nerves while I was in the waiting room.

I've taken a state-board exam before. 70-80%?

Do you know how high of a pass-rate that is in the grand scheme of things?

The way that some talk about it, you'd think it'd be in the 40's.

Really, NCLEX is overhyped. It's not even that serious. I know that I can't be the only one who took the test and thinks this way....

I studied with ATI and my textbooks, btw.

I don't believe that it's good practice to study from 10 different sources. Info varies from book to book, sometimes. Especially where lab values come into play.
