ATI Exit Exam

My school uses the ATI Exam as the "Exit" exam that all students must pass to graduate. Does anyone know anything about this exam? Is there a "look-alike" exam out there that helps you prepare for it? I guess this is what I am looking for.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I just took that today and passed with flying colors (thank you). I really don't know if there is a lookalike anywhere. We had to take ATI tests all along the program after each subject. Studying Kaplan, Saunders, Sylvia Rayfield, etc... practice exams will do the trick for you.

Good luck.

I here Kaplan is the best for NCLEX. Any thoughts?

Don't go on what worked "best" for others. What's best for one could sink another.

Each review course is good for what they are teaching. You need to do a little research into each type of course (or books). Each is geared to different types of learners. For example, Kaplan is very sequential/logic based and Sylvia Rayfield is image/word association based. If you know what kind of learner you are, find the course to match your personality.

I like to work it in a little of each way. Knowing I first absorb information best when it is associated with something, I took the Sylvia Rayfield course so I could hear the associations. I know if I hear it first then read it, it will really stick. Then, I read the Kaplan book cover to cover because I am very logic based in my information processing.

For all of my practice testing, I purchased Kaplan's book and Lippincott's book and practiced on their tests along with reviewing the Sylvia Rayfield information. There are also numerous websites to practice NCLEX testing. ATI even has unsecured (unproctored) tests you can practice with, but if your school hasn't paid for them, you will need to.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Our Nursing I class just took the ATI test for the semester on Tuesday. Our instructors gave all of us a review book from ATI at the beginning of the semester, so we had that to help us review. We also were able to get on http://www.atitesting.com and take a practice assessment, but we had to get the test ID and password from our instructors. The practice assessment was harder than the actual assessment, in my opinion! I scored a 68% on the practice and a 91% on the actual test Tuesday. Talk to your instructors and ask them if they can provide these materials for you guys next semester!

Good luck!
