Athabasca post LPN

Hi everyone,

I'm just starting the process of applying for my Alberta LPN license as well as the AU application. I have read on line but am looking for some reviews of the nursing program.

How was it? How long did it take you?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much! Many people reviewing athabasca complain about little support. Do you find you have all the teacher/student/admin support you need to be successful? Also, it's sort of vague as too how long it takes. I know you have 7 years but if you only worked part time and were very diligent coul it take two? I tried to work it out as they said 45hours per course.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

    Hi, I also am looking into the Post LPN to RN program at Athabasca. I have known some LPN's to try but not to complete due to money issues, family, work, travel for clinicals ( as I love in NS). I have done a psychology course only and started English but had given up, very hard working full time as LPN , and life. What do you recommend, how many times do I actually have to go out the to do clinical ,?2 or 3 times?, is it worth it? and how long could it take? Thanks
