Army Nursing

I am wondering, if I were to go through the army and become a nurse, is there any way I would be able to become a flight medic? I know that I would have to become a 68W (Health Care Specialist) and then go through flight training, but I want to get schooling through the army so that when I come out, I would be a nurse instead of just being an EMT. Or is there anyway I would be able to go through schooling becoming a nurse through the army, then skipping the medical school for 68W and do their training, and then go through flight training? Hahaha is there anyone who could answer these questions, thank you

In the military, frequently you don't have the time to attend classes that you'd like to, especially nursing, because you'd have to go to a nursing school, and the schedule there is as unforgiving as the military's.

However, if you just want to become an extraordinary EMT, think about USAF Pararescue (space shuttle recovery is part of their gig). They come in on helicopters, rescue pilots, do whatever it takes to keep 'em alive, and are extracted by helicopter.

Ever seen Blackhawk Down? I met a couple of Pararescuemen who were decorated for their actions in that fracas. Impressive guys leading a unique lifestyle. If it's for you, nothing else will do.
