Applying and TEAS

Published

I always come t this page when i google something or anything really when it comes to nursing but this is my first time here so here it goes!!

I am currently in the process of applying to a nursing program at all my local community colleges and some outside my district. My grades are good, and I've taken the TEAS as well. The problem is that I've taken my TEAS twice. The first time i didn't pass and took it about a month and half after and passed it, but not with 62% on all sections. Some community colleges have said not to apply because i will not get in. Im at the point where i either go to a private or seek another option. Can you guys please help me out looking at other ways??

Are you only allowed two TEAS attempts?

If so, the only other options would be schools that do not require the TEAS. Others may require you take the HESI admission exam, and some don't need any time of exam scores. You may have to look outside of the immediate area though if you've already looked at all the colleges around you.

Private nursing programs may be a option, but the ones that accept lower TEAS scores are most likely going to be very expensive.
