Applying to ADN or BSN.

Hi all!

I'm applying to nursing school next spring and I'm just about to begin studying for TEAS test. Okay so a bit of background... I live in CA so I'm looking to apply around my area. My cumulative GPA is a 3.0. I haven't finished all my pre-reqs but so far the Lowest grade i have received was a B- in Chem. At this point my GPA isn't completive but I still have 1 semester left, and I'm taking summer school to finish up everything. Right now I'm at a 4 year university that doesn't offer nursing (only ABSN), but my major is Public Health and the classes do somewhat correspond to Nursing. My dream school right now is CSULB or Mount St. Mary's , but I think I will mainly apply to ADN programs at 2 year colleges. I really need to get in a program, but i have came up with back up plans!!!

1. Stay at my university and get a bachelors in Public Health, then apply to my schools ABSN.

2. Get my CNA license and work until I can reapply to other programs.

So my question is where do you think I stand? Right now I'm in the process of looking for a volunteer position. I just need me CPR certification then I can submit my application. Please and thank you!!
