Application Process

Just a quick question for you guys.

Right now, I'm taking Micro, Bio 1, Psych, Math, and Nursing 2010. The requirements I'll have left for spring and summer are A&P 1, A&P 2, Bio 2, and Micro Lab, in addition to the TEAS requirement. My plan of action is to apply for fall 2012. When do you suggest taking the TEAS? How about the application process? My pre-nursing program has guidelines for when to take classes but not as much guidance concerning the application process, especially for those of us who are not traditional first year students (I'm a fifth year - just completed another four-year degree and added a second major).

    Im actually a 5th yr myself and I am planning on applying to nursing school for Fall 2012 as well. I plan to take the TEAS V in December; give myself lots of time to prepare between school work(A&P 1 w/ lab, nutrition and an elective). I picked December so that if I do not like my score I can plan to take it again in January so I can apply for nursing school by February. I figure it will also be good since we have breaks/holidays so I dont have to rush to prepare. Good Luck to you!! Hope I answered your questions...:)

    Thank you! You did! I wish I hadn't saved my A&Ps for spring and summer semester, but they filled up too fast :( Hopefully if I study enough, I'll still be alright. Do you know how often TEAS dates are posted? I don't see any for my area after September.

    Hope all is well, actually I do not know how often the TEAS dates are posted because for the school im applying to they only have dates for this month. However, I plan to call them ask before December just in case they don't have any dates (for Dec) I can be better prepared for the test. Keep me posted and Good Luck!
