Hey there! I am in my 2nd semester at the phoenix campus and it's not that bad. Semester 3 is the actual nursing program. What city are you enrolling in? It is really expensive, and they just went away with a huge funding they had before, so it feels even more expensive without that funding. The courses are really easy and i think they are designed to keep you in the program. They can be a bit disorganized, the whole way through, but they do hold your hand through a lot of the program. The staff seems to really care, and that helps. So far, i'd say, if i had to choose it all over again, i'd still go to Apollo. Hope this helps.
Thanks! I am going to the Westside campus starting November 17th. You will be in the actual Nursing program then id imagine. I will be taking Math, English, Psych, and A&P. Those classes arent too hard? That is good that they help!
Nick is the teacher for a and p1&2, and Microbiology, and he rocks!!! He's the best teacher at that school. He's extremely flexible and doesnt teach with a power trip. Good luck to you, im finishing at the las vegas campus.
One more question. Are the hours for the second semester the same as the first? Monday - Thursday... 8-11 or 8-1?
like i said earlier, apollo is VERY disorganized, so you will not know your schedule until a week beforehand, dont feel bad even the vegas campus is too. I hope this helps... GOOD LUCK!

hi I was reading the threads on Apollo College and was wondering what the cost is. Also what are the hours for the RN program in Las Vegas. Thanks!
I am unsure of the hours involved at the vegas campus, they dont give you the schedule until a week in advance. I believe the cost is around $47k depending on where you attend. I believe it cost more to go to the vegas campus than the phoenix. This is what I was told by the advisor at apollo vegas. You can save a lot of money by doing the pre-reqs at a c.c., however, make sure you have at least one class in both first and second semester to secure your spot. If you dont have any classes to take in semester one, you go on a waiting list, which, depending on the semester, can take up to about a year, which, to me, totally defeats the purpose of going to such an expensive school. You can ask them about scheduling, most likely they will not give you any info until you go to their orientation. Hope this helped.
yes it does seem difficult to get info out of them. i feel like i am buying into a time share lol! the classes change each week but is it usually a full week and full days? when i went for my lpn it was 5 days a week 8a-3p. also how do you find out what classes are in what semester? you probably have to attend orientation for that as well! i just heard however that the lv school will not allow you to transfer your pre recs? not sure how accurate the info is but it was from recent grad. something to look into! thanks!

Hi Oct2010RN
I am getting ready to take my NET test and Cpat test so that I can start at Apollo in March of 09. I know that being accepted into the program is based off the scores from those two tests...so I was wondering if you would be willing to share your scores. Also, do you know how many students applied when you were trying to get in?? Since they only take the top 30 I'm just trying to figure out how many other people you are up against. Sorry one more thing...it is true that once you are accepted into the program and you finish your pre-reques. you go right into the nursing courses without waiting correct?
Thanks so much for all your help

GAVS-I am currently in Dr Nick's A&P 2 class and am having a hard time knowing what to study or how to study for his tests. Midterm is coming up next week, do you have any pointers of how to pass the class?
