Considering a move from Duluth to the twin cities and already have 2.5 years NICU experience. Hoping to get a job in the NICU at Minneapolis or St. Paul kids. Just wondering if anyone has/does work there and can tell me a little about it?

I have a family member who works at children's and really loves it. I'm sure it would be great seeing that you already have experience. Their is children's in St. Paul or Minneapolis. Good luck, Duluth is too cold!

Did you end up moving to Minneapolis? I am also considering the move and wondering about hospitals in the area. Any help would be appreciated. I have just over 2 years of Level III NICU experience.
Hi Hannah! This is really funny I just got hired at children's but don't start until October 10 at the Minneapolis campus. Did you apply??
Oh great! Congrats! No I have not yet, just looking into different positions around the area and have heard good things about Children's! Did you apply anywhere else? How will your schedule be? Is it D/N, every other weekend?!
I am working a .75 day/night 12 hour shifts every other weekend. So 5 shifts every 2 weeks. I'm nervous to start over new somewhere after getting comfortable where I'm at but the move is a necessary one for our family. Hoping it goes well!
Also I didn't apply anywhere else this job kind of fell into my lap. I was thinking about also applying to the U of M but never got the chance
That's sounds great! I think U of M hires into every 3rd weekend. Did they say how long it is before you would be moved over to every 3rd weekend? I agree-very difficult to make the transition once you are comfortable somewhere. I hope you love it, I am going to start applying to different positions in the next couple of weeks.
They didn't say. I am more concerned about when I could get to straight days haha. I don't love night shifts and the unit I am coming from has about a 10-12 year wait to get on day/evening (8hour shifts) and I just can't do it that long. Keep me posted on what you hear! Where are you relocating from?
anyone? I start in October. Just wondering,

How is it working at Children's??? I applied to their new graduate program and am anxiously awaiting a phone interview this month.
